Ghana Carnival Ambassadors Announced


The Ghana Society Nominate the Ghana Carnival Ambassadors

The CEO of The Ghana Society and The Ghana Centre for Carnival Arts (the Ghana based sister company), Ms Maria Lovell was appointed the ‘Global Carnival Ambassador of Ghana’ by the Global Carnival Centre in 2014. Following on the 2016 Ghana Carnival theme “My Culture Rocks”, Ms Lovell with the Ghana Carnival Team have nominated representatives from the various regions of Ghana as ‘Ghana Carnival Ambassadors’.  This follows a move to encourage all parts of the nation of Ghana to participate in the Ghana National Carnival in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. We are happy to inform you that Hip Hop Artist, AJ Nelson represents the Brong Ahafo Region; Singer, songwriter, actress and musician Wiyaala represents the Upper West Region and singer, actor and poet Stonebwoy represents the Volta Region.

As representatives of their regions, these individuals have proved that you can stay true to yourself and be proud of where you come from.  It is such positive attitude which qualified them as Ghana Carnival Ambassadors for their regions. Watch this space as we announce the other Ghana Carnival Ambassadors in the weeks leading up to the 1st July World Class Carnival Parade in Accra.
