Ghana Society celebrated Ghana’s 56th Independence anniversary amongst guests at the high profile reception hosted by Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK & Ireland Professor Kwaku Danso Boafo, on 6th March 2013 in style and grandeur at the plush Hilton Hotel in Park Lane. Mayfair. London.
The reception was well attended by Ambassadors, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Nananom, Miss Tourism Ghana UK 2012 and first princess, VIP Dignatries and Corporate Directors.
In his speech His Excellency congratulated the Ghanaian community and called for unity to support and promote Mother Ghana in the Diaspora. He quoted that “yenara asase nyi” meaning Ghana is our land and requires our utmost love and commitment to make it a great nation.
There was music, cultural show performances to entertain guests. An excellent reception which truly captured the warmth of the Ghanaian spirit!
