The Ghana Society UK invites you to come join us at this year’s annual Kente Festival & Fundraising Gala Dinner Dance on Saturday, 24th November 2018.
Theme for this year is ” Harnessing the Kente Heritage” to empower and sustain a global economy.
The event will be held at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts, 3 St Marys Road, Luton, LU1 3JA
Durbar, Exhibition and Akwaaba Cocktail Reception from 6pm to 8pm and Gala Dinner from 8pm to 2am.
This year’s edition will form the finale of our continual commitment to promote our ‘Akwaaba to Ghana’ programs celebrating the UK Black History Season and to promote our rich cultural heritage espousing values that are being forgotten which is integral to our uniqueness as Ghanaians.
There will be a fundraising segment as Ghana Society has partnered with World Child Cancer since 2017 to support their campaign to raise awareness and fundraise to support children with cancer at Korle Bu and Komfo Anokye Teaching hospitals in Ghana. Last year we proudly contributed to World Child Cancer total funds raised of £871,244 at 31st December 2017.
Highlights of the evening will feature a Durbar of Chiefs, Kente exhibition and performances to add a touch of color and merriment to an unforgettable evening.
